Solar Project Engineer

Job Description

1. Lead design, engineering and installation for solar PV projects.
2. Develop, supervise, and review designs of PV systems such as but not limited to electrical, structural, mechanical, system components.
3. Develop or review specifications according to requirements of the PV project.
4. Develop bill of materials (BOM) for projects.
5. Provide technical direction and support during installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and performance monitoring.
6. Liaise with authorities such as SEDA, ST, TNB, consulting firms, local authorities on licensing matters.
7. Coordination of the construction of multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Manage sub-contractors in terms of works, schedules, workmanship, etc.
9. Conduct testing and commissioning of PV systems including the setup of remote monitoring system for various systems.
10. Implement best practices and work safety procedures at project site.
11. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for every project to ensure that projects are within schedule.
12. Monitor plant operation and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise.
13. Provide technical support for sales, proposals, and during potential client meetings.
14. Perform any other function that may be assigned by Management.
