Designer (Apparel/Garments)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
– Responsible to analyze creative designs and to translate those ideas, and concepts into actual products, this includes review & assessment of the feasibility of design that will work on proto-typing and bulk production to ensure a cost-effective product.
– Responsible for product design which is in accordance with the specification, collaborates with the Designer and Product Development to ensure high-quality proto samples are made accordingly.
– Responsible for evaluating/examining sketches made by Fashion Designers enabling them to improve the design as well as suggesting necessary adjustments and corrections required to produce a proto sample. Ability to explain technical changes to Designers and Product Development.
– Staying up to date with the latest sewing, knitting, embroidery, smocking, and embellishment techniques and making sure products meet the up-to-date trends in fashion.
– Maintains company handwriting and DNA. Provides technical & analytical direction in collaboration with design teams, and supervises matters pertaining to spec, pattern, construction methods, and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall quality of the product.
– Collaborates with Designers to replace un-practical designs with feasible alternatives creating contingency plans to address unexpected product delays and or quality issues.
– Setting quality standards amongst the team and introducing inspection prototypes for finished products.
– Proficiency in computer-aided design software enables to create detailed and precise design changes with accuracy vital to recognize intricate design details, like pattern, color, embellishment, and stitching.
– Team player, articulate, and can work under extreme pressure and short timeline.

Qualifications:
– Graduate of Industrial Engineering, Clothing Technology, Fashion Design, and Merchandising or Business Administration course or any related Business Course
– Minimal but significant experience in Technical Designing, sample making, fitting, pattern-making, and tech pack preparation
– Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Php40,000.00 – Php80,000.00 per month

Experience:
Pattern Marking: 3 years (Preferred)
Technical Designing: 3 years (Preferred)
Apparel/Garments Manufaturing: 3 years (Preferred)
